Thanks, Richmond. Interesting article.

"The conference also saw the announcement of a new collaboration between Argentum and U.S. News.“Together, the organizations will combine research, consumer insights and storytelling to better reflect the experiences of residents, families and caregivers across the country,” according to a press release from the consumer media brand, which said the arrangement would aim to “elevate quality standards and improve transparency across the senior living continuum.” As part of the agreement, the two organizations will work together to establish and promote standardized resident engagement measures. Additionally, U.S. News will participate in Argentum’s quality efforts and working groups and collaborate on consumer research efforts. U.S. News also will help Argentum reach consumers through the association’s “I Love Senior Living” campaign, sharing data and insights to educate Americans about senior living."

This McKnight’s article highlights senior living leaders’ call for healthcare executives to see the field not as a sideline, but as an essential partner in improving outcomes for older adults. The discussion points to opportunities for better collaboration across the continuum, including data sharing, value-based care, post-acute coordination, and stronger recognition of senior living’s role in prevention, wellness, and daily support. For residents, families, providers, and policymakers, the message is clear: healthcare cannot serve an aging population well while overlooking where many older adults actually live.
