Calling all Techs
Author Last Post

It's easy. In the upper right of the NaCCRA screen, click on your name and select profile. This opens your profile. In the second row of boxes you will find "forums" and the second line there is a link to a page where you can opt in or out of the optional forums. (scroll down, they are below the automatic forums). I can help if you need a hand.

I would like to opt in to this forum. Not sure how.

I've created the forum and added Shirley, Claudia, Barry, and myself as members. This is an "opt-in" forum, meaning members must join before they can post or receive email notifications of new posts. Once you join, you will receive a daily summary of new posts-- you can change this via your profile settings. Members of the Technology forum may ppost by sending an email to the forum from the email address they are registered with. Emails from other addresses are ignored.

All tech forum posts are visible to the general public when they visit the NaCCRA site. Barry is an administrator.

(Note: It takes Club Express hours to update the membership records, so new members may not be able to post for as much as a day after registering.

In October, Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads (GHBC) (Virginia) will celebrate 11 years of its resident website. It is designed and maintained by residents for residents, families, and prospective residents who want to know about life at GHBC. Because it is the most current source of information, staff use it all the time as well. Check out lifeatghbc.com. Most of the site is public. I am the webmaster. Feel free to contact me at Blake.Claudia@gmail.com

I'll bet there are others who share your interest.

I'm in the early stages of designing a website for our Residents Council. I'm interested in other tech issues as well.

A stranger from another community called me this week wanting to know about Pennswood's TV channel. A mutual friend had suggested that he would be interested. We are meeting next week to go backstage and see how our community has geared up to support the performance arts.

His interest got me to thinking. Maybe there are NaCCRA members who would like to form a technology discussion forum. Topics could include computers, filmmaking, stagecraft, broadcasting, livestreaming, YouTube Studio, and more.

If you or someone you know might be interested, please reply to this email.
