Help in Making Life Changing Decisions
Author Last Post

Most continuing care programs, including those in CCRCs, have social workers as a part of the care team who serve this purpose. CCRC residents typically have this type of service available to them on an ongoing basis as their circumstances change over time.

Social workers are trained to help clients resolve all types of complicated human problems. They do this on a daily basis, know what resources are available and possible. Their training includes offering clients the widest range of possibilities for resolution of issues. In the end, the client has solid knowledge of what options are possible in their individual case.

Larger facilities probably have several of them positions throughout the facility. It might be a good idea to meet with yours in your CCRC so you know them in advance.

As experts in aging well®, they help older adults navigate the challenges of aging and making positive, informed decisions and plans about aging in place or relocating.
