✨ Resident Engagement

Independent evaluation of management
Author Last Post

i'm not sure how you would do it, but it would be great if you would share your questionnaire with the NaCCRA members. It's always nice not to have to re-invent the wheel.

Thank you,

Our CCRC has used Navari survey that occurred every two years until covid. Since then, we have had a partial, in-house survey that was totally inadequate to meet our needs. After reading your post, I was wondering if you could send me an electronic copy of the survey being used in your facility.

Loomis Communities (non-profit, 3 communities in Massachusetts) used Halloren regularly for many years but stopped just prior to Covid. Residents at Applewood (one of the three Loomis Communities) developed our own community evaluation, questioning residents on everything from management, maintenance, dining services, health services, etc.. We had residents who were skilled in questionnaire development and a retired statistician who produced excellent charts and graphs. The survey was praised by many indepenedent readers.and had some startling and significant results. Many changes were recommended and the most important ones have been acepted and implemented.

Yes, our group of nonprofit CCRCs typically have an annual resident satisfaction survey conducted by Halleran. I'm a resident of Wind Crest, which is one of a group of approximately 20 nonprofit CCRCs that are managed by Erickson Senior Living (a for-profit). But our group of CCRCs are under the governance and policy oversight of a nonprofit 501c3 Supporting Organization named National Senior Communities (NSC). I'm told that the Holleran survey is currently sponsored and paid for by NSC, as part of their oversight function with regard to the review of management.

Yes

Bethany Village in Mechanicsburg, PA uses Holleran almost every year to evaluate resident satisfaction. Management shares the results and their action plans to address the areas that show low resident satisfaction.

Does your community use Holleran survey or some other means to evaluate management?
