Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads (GHBC) offers apartment-style living with three levels of care to about 500 residents in an urban setting. Within the building there are the several dining venues, a fitness center, a pool, an art center, a salon, plus free wifi and concierge service. Life at GHBC
is a resident-developed, -managed, and -maintained website for residents, families, staff, and prospects.
Located just 8 miles from the White House, it is not surprising that many of our residents are politically and socially involved. Our many retired foreign service officers and their contacts provide us interesting updates on international affairs. After the Women’s March of 2017, the Silver Panther Huddle formed to actively pursue social justice issues in redistricting, immigration reform, voting rights, health care, and racism. Residents research, write, march, and lobby.
In 2020, Leading Age Virginia awarded the Silver Panthers its Advocacy Award
